This week, we focused on the Chinese zodiac and did lots of related activities.
Since most of the children can already say the zodiac animals in the correct order from the song they learned in Japanese class, they colored the 12 animals and arranged them in the right order. They also thought about which animal represents their birth year.

Also we all painted a large horse together. It had been a while since we had done a big painting activity together, so everyone really enjoyed painting.
We continued making horses using various materials, and we named each part of a horse’s body.

On the last day of the week, we all made a kendama. As soon as they were finished, everyone began trying to put the ball into the cup.
