Our students learned about nutrition this week. We used short pasta, spaghetti, and rice to make a “grains collage”. We used alphabet pasta, so some students looked for specific letters to spell words or make sentences.

The next day, we read the book “How Are You Peeling?” and made special “vegetable and fruit people”.
The following day, we talked about “proteins” and read the famous Dr Seuss book “Green Eggs and Ham.” We actually cooked green egg! When they saw green scrambled eggs, they said “Woah…” but when they tasted them, they said “They’re good!”

We also learned about sweets and treats. We cooked pancakes which they enjoyed a lot. The older students played the “Candy Land” board game, and pointed out and learned the names of many kinds of candies: lollipops, gummies, etc.
