This week, our students began preparing to open their own “shops” in the classroom.
Penguin and Starfish Class students were busy making doughnuts. They made them with cardboard and they used play-dough, which they kneaded like bakers do when making real doughnuts. They also decorated them with sprinkles. They made a big shop sign, too.
The Dolphin Class students discussed what shop/store they wanted to open. The teachers thought they would open one shop together. However, they decided to open individual shops. So each of them were very busy preparing products they wanted to sell and making a sign for their shop. They also learned about “money”!
