The new month has begun and our students are now learning about “animals”.

Penguin and Starfish Class students listened to the story “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” Then they started creating their own “Brown Bear” book. Some of them already knew the story so they could say which animal came next.

Seal Class students continue to practice using scissors. We started learning how to sing the “ABC Animal Song”, and they learned new animal names like “quokka”! As for the Dolphin Class, our original plan was to learn about the different animal groups, such as mammals, fish, reptiles, etc.

However, while they were looking at various animal books, they each became interested in a specific animal, so each student chose their own animal to research deeply. They went to the library to find books, and they used the “index page” to find information about their animal. But for some of their questions, they couldn’t find the answer so, for the first time, they used a computer to search for the answers. With a teacher’s help, they wrote their questions on a piece of paper and then researched the answers using the internet. When they found the answers to their questions, they felt very satisfied.
