Our students were very busy making “koinobori” and “kabuto”. The Whale Class students cut carp shapes out of fabric, and they also cut felt circles in half to make “semicircles scales” which they stuck onto their carp very nicely. The Seal Class students are practicing cutting paper using scissors, so they cut paper strips into small pieces for carp scales. The Penguin and Starfish Class students used onion stamps to make carp scales. Everyone also made a “kabuto”. They enjoyed sticking on shiny paper to make it look special!

This time our mini-Tabiiku was seeing the huge koinobori at Tokyo Station. It was not a great day to go, but all the students enjoyed walking through the koinobori. The lady working there explained to us that it is 25 meters long, and later when we asked the students how big the koinobori was, they could answer 25 meters!
