Our students started learning about animals this week.
This week’s favorite activity was making a (nearly) life-sized elephant. It’s a paper elephant about 3 meters long and 2.5 meters high; we all (all classes) painted the elephant with paint brushes and rollers. And of course at the end, they all painted using their hands and feet.
One boy said, “I want to do this (paint) the whole day!!!” They really enjoyed it a lot. They actually enjoyed it so much that the paper elephant became ripped and had many holes. After a teacher cut out the shape of the elephant from the painted paper, the students were amazed to see how big an elephant is. Other students said, “I want to see a real one!” (Yes, we agreed… if the weather is not this hot.)
